Okay, can we talk about all this fuckery for a minute? Girls with short hair kick ass. So do girls with long hair, medium hair, short on one side/long on the other, layered, extensions, wigs, WHATEVER. Hair isn’t a person. Hair doesn’t MAKE you who you are. I’ve seen SO MANY cute short styles for girls, it.makes me wish I had the guts (and patience) to chop my hair off again (I say patience because I change my mind about my hair all the time and short hair is a commitment to me, and I’m not ready to make it).
Let’s start with this whole “dude’s preference” thing, shall we? This may come as a shock to some fellas, but women don’t live to please men. We weren’t put on the planet to be eye candy for the opposite sex. If we want a cute pixie cut like our favorite actress, we shouldn’t have to worry about what men, or society in general, has to say about it. We DON’T have to worry about it. We’re allowed to do things simply because it’s what we want.
Short hair IS pretty. Period. Deal with it.
Girls with short hair DO NOT look like boys. They look like girls with short hair, BECAUSE THAT’S WHAT THEY ARE. If you tell me Emma Watson, or Keira Knightly looks like a boy when they have short hair, then you must know some BEAUTIFUL boys, and I would really love to meet them.
Regardless of sexual preference, girls are allowed to do whatever they want to with their hair. Chopping off your hair doesn’t mean you like girls. LIKING GIRLS MEANS YOU LIKE GIRLS. It’s as simple as that. If you’re ignorant enough to think that the length of someone’s hair is indicative of sexual preference, then take a look at Portia De Rossi and take a wild stab as to what she’s into.
Seriously, why do we have to make people feel so bad about themselves? It’s not enough to tell them their faces and bodies aren’t good enough, so we have to go after their hair now? How about we stop putting so much importance on such trivial bullshit, and just accept each other regardless of age, race, sexual preference, religion, gender, and yes, even hair length.
